A Culinary Journey in Cappadocia: Local Flavors and Our Family Tradition

Food is the heart of Turkish culture, and at Kismet Cave Mansion, we take this to heart. We invite you to join us on a culinary journey that starts right in our garden.

Farm to Table

We believe in the power of fresh ingredients. Many of the vegetables and herbs served at our breakfast table come directly from our own organic garden. Our homemade jams, cheeses, and dairy products are made with recipes passed down through generations.

Pekmez Making Tradition

Every autumn, we engage in the traditional making of "Pekmez" (grape molasses). This ancient process involves crushing local grapes and boiling the juice in large cauldrons over wood fires. It’s such a significant part of our heritage that it was even featured in a BBC documentary!

Testi Kebab

No visit to Cappadocia is complete without trying Testi Kebab. Meat and vegetables are slow-cooked in a sealed clay pot, which is then dramatically broken open at your table. It's not just a meal; it's a performance!

We look forward to sharing our table and our traditions with you.
